The brothers, who own Essar Group, regularly travel to the south of France for the weekend, and besides owning homes in cities like Mumbai and London, they also own a farm in Gujarat, from where according to a Wall Stret Journal report Shashi Ruia sources prawns for his favourite dishes. Southern France colloquially known as le Midi is a loosely defined geographical area consisting of the regions of France that border the Atlantic Ocean south of the Gironde, Spain, the Mediterranean, Italy, and Switzerland south of the Jura Mountains.
