Future of Indian IT

Though the last two decades have shaped IT sector in such a way that it has left everyone spellbound, complete dependence on IT departments is lessening. It is moving on to a stage where IT delivery and businesses work together. It can be seen as an evolution where IT departments and business are interdependent one another to deliver useful outputs. Once example can be seen in the banking sector where instead of deploying a server at every branch, most of the storage work can now be directed to the cloud. Though it has not been adopted completely until now given the security concerns but as the trust on cloud increases, moving to cloud will be a natural phenomenon.

This evolution is also transforming the role of CIOs in the IT industry. Now, a CIO is not just restricted to implementing technology implementation but also for measuring the business outcome, cost control and introducing innovation and creativity.

Like the past two decades have marked a new chapter in the IT sector, assuming that the coming two decades will also bring with them some drastic changes and we will get to see some of the most amazing advancements.
