Paperless offices
Workplace Trends Introduced by Emerging Startups
A paperless office is where the use of paper is significantly reduced by digitalizing the documents. This not only saves money, but also saves space, boosts productivity, makes it easier to share, and increases the security. The paperless office was facilitated after a video display computer terminal like the 1964 IBM 2260 became popular. Business Week was the first to predict the trend as early as 1975, and since around 2000, the global use of office paper has leveled off and is in a declining phase.
