eGestalt launches SecureGRC

Bangalore: eGestalt, a technology solutions and services firm focused on cloud based managed services has launched SecureGRC, a breakthrough solution that provides an end-to-end integration of Security monitoring with IT-Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (IT-GRC) management solutions using a cloud based delivery model.
The solution provides an ability to address all the enterprise needs around security, compliance and risk management and provides automation and integration of policy controls to manage security and IT-GRC related issues. Information security is assuming critical importance for hassle-free transactions in enterprises, financial institutions, Government, defense, Police and individuals. A global study by a leading security provider in 2009 indicated that 67 percent of the Indian companies are very concerned about their business being a target for cyber crime. The study also reported that India and China have the largest amount of unreported data leaks, with 35 percent and 32 percent respectively.
According to the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, the records of more than 158 million U.S. residents have been exposed due to security breaches since January 2005. That's more than half of the U.S. population that have been affected. The United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) estimates that 67 percent of victims report that one or more of their credit card accounts are misused and that 85 percent of all identity theft involved misuse of some type of existing financial account.
