Bangalore: According to Gartner, due to increased rate of growth in sales of servers, there will be an increase of datacenter power. In the next two years, there will be a rise in sale of servers, which will result in further increase of datacenter power, space problems and cooling, the research company claims. According to Gartner, now immediate actions can be taken by the customers without any type of delay. In removal of some of these related issues, the virtualization and consolidation projects will be aided, said Rakesh Kumar, Vice President of Gartner Research. The worldwide server market has come down to 16.8 percent and 16.5 percent in volume and revenue respectively compared to that of 2009. However, trade analysts say that the figure will rise, which will result in a need of more coolers.
