Cisco establishes network for social welfare
Bangalore: To reach out to the backward segments of the society, Cisco has launched a network for NGOs as well as individuals on May 11, on the eve of the National Technology Day. Similar to Google Earth, the site "myhumannetwork.com" will enable location search. Through the website, the users can search for locations for participating in activities including education, healthcare and animal welfare. Moreover, the member organizations will be able to collaborate and exchange ideas among themselves. According to Naresh Wadhwa, President and Country Manager, Cisco India and Saarc, this platform will give opportunities to the organizations in India that are engaged in positive social change. Cisco will look after the development and maintenance of the site, which is a blend of social websites like Twitter and Facebook.
