CDAC sends PARAM to Tanzania

Bangalore: Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) has sent the PARAM supercomputing cluster to Tanzania, as a part of its capacity building initiatives.
This cluster consists of indigenously developed PARAMNet III interconnect, software stacks, CHReME HPC portal, system software and some other tools along with storage.
System administration, application porting and parrellelisation training on HPC tools will be provided. The system will be used for computational fluid dynamics, weather forecasting, bio-informatics, finite element analysis, ocean modeling seismic and materials modeling.
