The S6 comes with a new 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 petrol engine that pumps an unforgettable 420bhp of power at 6400 RPM, at an impressive 550 Nm of torque. The TSFI type (Turbo Stratified Fuel Injection) engine is same for both A6 and S6 models, but unlike the supercharged 3.0-litre V6 in the A6, the V8 uses two turbochargers. The power fed to the engine is via a 7-speed dual clutch transmission; along with a rear biased all wheel drive Quattro system.

The powerful V8 engine pushes the car from 0 to 100 km/hr in 4.8 seconds. According to Audi, the electronically governed top speed of 250 km/hr is just a formality.

Priced around 85 to 86 lakhs, the Audi S6 is a pretty good catch for sporty saloon sedan lovers. It carries a unique balance between comfort, aggression and sportiness.
