PNB's Total Business Reaches 6.21 Lakh Crore

Kolkata: State-run Punjab National Bank said its total business reached 6.21 lakh crore at the end of the third quarter of fiscal 2011-12, registering a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 22 percent. The bank's deposits at the end of December 2011, amounted to 3.58 lakh crore compared to 2.89 lakh crore in December 2010, posting a growth of 24 percent, bank chairman and managing director (CMD) K.R. Kamath said on the occasion of celebrating the bank's 100 years of service to eastern India. The bank's advances at 2.64 lakh crore grew by 19 percent year-on-year from 2.21 lakh crore at the end of December 2010, he said. The CASA deposits increased to 1.26 lakh crore in December 2011 from 1.12 lakh crore, registering a growth of 12 percent.
