Looking for mentors? Meet them at TiEcon 2011

Fremont: Are you a young entrepreneur looking to validate your idea? Are you looking for a mentor to hone your abilities and seek advice on navigating new challenges? Then TiECon2011 gives you the opportunity to meet some seasoned mentors.
This year in the annual TiEcon event TiE has introduced a Mentor Connect Program, which is a structured, small group networking program that provides an opportunity to meet, learn from, and engage in discussions with successful entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals. TiEcon Silicon Valley will take place at the Santa Clara Convention Center, on May 13-14.
Mentor Connect Program will facilitate TiEcon attendees to get feedback on their entrepreneurial activity from successful veteran entrepreneurs, corporate executives and senior professionals who have reached a stage in their professional life when they are ready, willing and able to contribute to the entrepreneurial community.
How does it work? You will be matched with a mentor who is an industry leader in your field with many years of experience (both corporate and entrepreneurial). Mentors will share their best practices, answer your questions relating to your own business venture, and offer advice.
Mentor connect is exclusively available to TiEcon attendees only. There is no additional cost beyond the regular conference price to participate in Mentor Connect. You need to register for a spot at Mentor Connect. A mentee will also get 30 minute sub-sessions with the mentor.
Each year, the conference brings together a diverse and dynamic group of leaders from business, technology, venture capital, and media for two days of education, inspiration, and networking.TiE, founded with the aim of nurturing entrepreneurs has several mentoring programs at TiE Chapters' both Group mentoring and Personal one-to-one sessions with seasoned entrepreneurs. These include 'TiE Institute', 'My Story Sessions', 'Business Builder Breakfast', Mentoring at 'Business Plan Competitions' and many more.
