Coimbatore was ranked 15th in the competitiveness list. The city is Tamil Nadu's major hub for IT firms, pump manufacturers and auto components. The city is also a home to small and medium scale textile mills.
Kochi
Kochi is the second largest city and a major commercial centre of Kerala. It houses one of country's major seaports. The city ranked third in education and healthcare, and was 16th in the overall competitiveness list.
