4. Timothy Geithner
Timothy Geithner is the Secretary of U.S. Treasury Department. He worked for Kissinger Associates in Washington for 3 years before joining the International Affairs division of the U.S. Treasury Department. He later became the ambassador of U.S. embassy in Tokyo. He has been serving monetary and financial policy the country for years. He was the deputy assistant secretary for international monetary and financial policy for the term 1995-1996, senior deputy assistant secretary for international affairs 1996-1997 and assistant secretary for international affairs (1997-1998). At present, Geithner has a very important role to perform. He has the major hand in directing the federal government's spending on 2008-2009 economic chaos as well as the allocation of $350 billion funds from the troubled asset relief program ratified in the preceding management. Geithner and Henry Paulson consider that the U.S. Department of Treasury needs a new power to experiment to the reactions they got to the late 2000s economic disaster.
