Bangalore: Aon Hewitt, the global human resource consulting announced the results of its seventh Best Employers in India 2011 study. It recognized the following companies as the 25 Aon Hewitt Best Employers in India 2011.
Best Employers in India represent organizations that have done an outstanding job of aligning people strategy with articulated business strategy. The Best have been able to offer a compelling career proposition to their employees in a high performing work environment that differentiates needs, expectations and drivers of different employee segments.
The judges evaluated a wealth of data that provided a 360-degree view on each organization, including a view of employees and leaders, as well as insights into each organization?s HR practices. The jury considered multiple parameters including employee engagement score, effectiveness of the people practices and most importantly, whether the company exhibits a strong organization alignment between strategic goals and HR programs. The study received opinions from more than 40,000 employees.
Here is list of the first 10 best employers for the year 2011.
1.Hindustan Unilever Limited:
Hindustan Unilever Limited is India's largest fast moving consumer goods company owned by the European company Unilever. The Anglo-Dutch company Unilever owns a 52 percent majority stake. It is headquartered in Mumbai, India and has employee strength of over 15,000 employees and contributes to indirect employment of over 52,000 people. The company was renamed in June 2007 as 'Hindustan Unilever Limited'.
