The tsunami in Japan this year led to a death toll of above 15,000 and serious damage. Such natural disasters are very common in Japan but this time the reactors of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant possessed by the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) detonated and liberated nuclear radiation. Masataka Shimizu, Tepco's CEO, gave an apology 29 hours after the initial detonation. This led to a loss of 15 billion and Masataka Shimizu had to resign.
