4. IT sector

It seems that the Indian IT sector will not be much affected by the budget 2013 as the wish list is too small for IT. No changes are expected in the current tax structure but the budget will help clarify issues related to dual levy of VAT and service tax on licensing of software.

Though good news was the government has started focusing on e-governance recently and many of the Indian IT companies have grabbed few important deals from the government. Few of the programs that the government has started are RAPDRP, UIDAI and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.

5. Automobile

There have been rumors that there is a possibility of hike in the excise duty by the government due to the financial consolidation program taken up by government over the last few months. But in case the rumors come true then no doubt that it will be harmful for the automobile sector as it will suppress the demand. Other factors which come into consideration are there can be no additional duty on diesel vehicles and constant focus on infrastructure development. There can also be increased expenditure on NREGA and increase in agriculture sector outlay and hike in income tax slabs.
