Be Legendary! 23 Entrepreneurial Lessons from Michael Jordan - Part II
7. Not Every Product or Feature Launch Is a Winner
Not every feature or product launch is going to be great. Even the giants in the industry like Apple can have products launch that don’t perform well. It is evident from the examples of Beacon, Google Buzz, Yahoo! Live and AppleTV V1. It’s impossible to shoot 100%, but what matters is that you take 100% of the shots that you should be taking.
6. Fire over Flash
Beautiful interface and ingenious features is not the path to success. They are certainly a great advantage to have, but the product also has to have fire behind it. If you have a pretty application that provides no real utility to the user, then it won't be used for long. Make sure you have fire before you have flash in your product.
5. Find Strength in Your Weaknesses
Weaknesses are strength. Weaknesses can be identified and attacked. If your company has a hole in the team, business model, or customer acquisition model, you can attack it head on.
