Asia, The Luring Future Of Mobile Internet

"The center of gravity in the mobile ecosystem is likely to shift from the United States and Western Europe toward Asia," said Mary Ellen Gordon, director at mobile advertiser at Flurry.

"Asia will be the driving force of global growth for the next two decades," says Scott Lee, head of Asia at Appsnack, a division of U.S. based digital advertising company Exponential Interactive.

In developed countries the users who wanted to own a Smartphone already has one. According to the market research firm IDC, the European Smartphone market grew only 12 percent in first quarter of last year, the slowest since 2004.

While Apple and Samsung ruled the roost in the Smartphone market which together sells half of the world's Smartphones, they are now getting though completion from the cheaper Smartphones which are quite popular in Asia. Samsung indicated its second-quarter operating profit will fall short of estimates as demand for high-end smartphones slows and the other hand Apple is exploring cheaper iPhone models for the developing countries.
