The Congress-led Rajasthan Government is under fire over the recent communal clashes in Bharatpur. Eight people were killed and 21 injured, allegedly in police firing. Members of the Gujjar and Meo communities clashed in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan on Wednesday, with a controversy over an Eidgah land. The clash soon took the form of gun firing between the two communities. The police allegedly joined the Gujjar camp in firing, in a mosque, killing the members of the minority community. The police excesses and administrative lapses were at the helm, as the country witnessed another communal riot.
