#7 PowerBook G4: 2001

The PowerBook G4 is a series of notebook computers that were manufactured by Apple as part of its PowerBook line. It uses the PowerPC G4 processor, initially produced by Motorola and later by Freescale, after Motorola spun off its semiconductor business under that name in 2004.

"With the release of the PowerBook titanium, Apple brought a new sense of design, style and class to the realm of portability," says Yamaguma. "Unfortunately, the frame was a painted silver color. Due to constant rubbing of the hands resting on the laptop, the paint would rub off, leaving an embarrassing scar on an otherwise beautiful machine."

#6 iPod: 2001

The most popular device from Apple that instantly gained popularity as the finest music player fired Apple's meteoric rise in the last decade. It became the precursor to the iPhone, the iPod delivered "a thousand songs in your pocket" through copious amounts of computing power in a tiny form factor that's easy to use.

Its hardware design and style gave Apple its winning identity.

"With the release of the video iPod in 2005, we were hooked -- no turning back," says Yamaguma.
