Bangalore: Google is facing new anti-trust charges. According to the claims, it is blocking smaller European firms by limiting the use of technology for getting large advertisers. Earlier, 1plusV, a French company, has also filed charges against Google. According to the company, it was forced to take up Google technology even before it could reach out to advertising services. Google is charged of blocking the development of competitors. It also claims that Google, along with restricting the emergence of alternate technology, also endorses its own results when compared to competitors. This is done by falsely lowering competitors' ranking. The company has sent a supplementary complaint to the European Commission, the executive arm of European Union. Google has been accused of the similar doings by two other companies as well. Along with 1plusV, Ciao.de, German subsidiary of Microsoft and Foundem.co.uk, British price comparison site have also filed charges against Google. Based on this, the commission started the investigation three months back. The probe was started with a motive of finding out whether Google is capable of blocking competitors as the charges claim. The procedure will let Google explains its points against the charges it faces, according to Amadeu Altafaj, a European Commission spokesperson. Google has been working with the Commission so as to put across various aspects of its businesses, according to Al Verney, Google's spokesperson.
