Amdocs Opens New Software and Services Center in India

Bangalore: Amdocs, a provider of customer experience systems, has announced the opening of a new company facility in Gurgaon. The new facility will expand Amdocs? presence in India and positions it closer to customers in the northern part of the country. The Gurgaon center will be charged with deployment of Amdocs systems, delivery of consulting and managed services projects to customers, product development and customer support activities. "As the Indian economy and service provider market experience a rapid growth, this market has become highly strategic for us. Amdocs is growing its presence in India to support market demand. Amdocs offers pre-integrated suite of modular products and services to enable rapid transformation in the telecom industry," said Dov Baharav, CEO, Amdocs Management. Amdocs offers its employees in India an environment where they can work on complex projects that will be deployed around the world. In just four years, Amdocs' employee count in India has grown from zero to 20 percent of its global workforce. Today, Amdocs employs 3500 people in India and has additional locations in Mumbai and Pune. Amdocs continues to demonstrate momentum with new and expanded relationships with service providers worldwide, including VSNL (part of Tata Communications Ltd.) and Reliance Communications Ltd. in India. In the first six months of fiscal year 2008 Amdocs has publicly announced 21 customer wins and deployments. Amdocs recently introduced its Customer Experience Systems product portfolio, Amdocs CES 7.5. Amdocs CES 7.5 is a suite of products to enable multi-play providers to deliver a superior customer experience.
