Bangalore: Apple's failure with the iPhone alarms continue to persist. The first weekend of the new year had many iPhone users waking up late following a glitch that failed to set off the alarms. The bug affected only those devices running on the iOS 4. It was said that the alarm clock would fix itself once the iPhone registered the date January 3. Apple, on its part, did not comment and neither gave any patch/fix for the problem. Today being January 3, the problem would have been resolved by now. However, as per latest reports, some iPhone users maintain that problem still continues. Although there are others who are reporting otherwise. But the important thing to note here is that the problem isn't confined to iPhone but has its tentacles reaching other Apple products like iPods as well. A similar problem with the alarm had surfaced last year in Australia, where the country's switch to Daylight Savings Time resulted in some alarms going off early while others not going off at all. Same issue was faced by North American and European users when they switched to Daylight Savings Time. Until now there has been no word from Apple to fix the solution. We are waiting!
