Akamai's NOCC To Monitor And Troubleshoot Client Servers


Bangalore: Akamai Technologies is one of the leading cloud platforms that deliver speedy, secure and reliable internet access. The company has come up with a Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of all servers in the global Akamai network.

Head quartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Akamai handles billions of daily web interactions and the NOCC provides a better view of the real-time condition of the Internet. The company has its clientele from various verticals including e-commerce, music, streaming videos  and others. Sidharth Pisharoti, Country Sales head of Akamai Technologies said “About 40 percent of the global internet traffic is carried through our networks; and 90 percent of the internet users are a single network hop away”

“Seamless response of the NOCC to network conditions enables us to deliver rich media content and applications, regardless of network traffic volume” added Gourishankar Gudla, Senior director-Platforms operations while drilling deep into the functions of the command centre.
