Agile Financial Technologies raises $5.7 million from IDG Ventures

Bangalore: In its Series A round of institutional financing, Agile Financial Technologies, a BFSI software products company, has successfully raised $5.7 million from IDG Ventures, a technology venture capital firm. Other investors include promoters of the company and angel investors.
With the strategic intent to serve enterprises in the BFSI sector, the fund will be used to explore organic and inorganic growth plans and expand into new markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Founded by Kalpesh Desai, Agile has presence in 20 countries and provides software products in the space of investment management, lending management, micro finance and insurance. For managing wealth, mutual fund, pension fund and investor services for its wholly owned subsidiary Apollo Asset Management, Apollo Insurance Company partnered Agile Financial Technologies.
