Achievement Awards 2011 by National Instruments India

Bangalore: National Instruments (NI) India, a technology pioneer in Graphical System Design, today announced the launch of the Graphical System Design Achievement Awards 2011. It intends to thereby celebrate the innovative engineering and scientific applications which its graphical system design tools have helped make successful. These awards would provide recognition to engineers, scientists and researchers across the country for their innovative ideas and efforts across the test, control and embedded design domains. The NI Graphical System Design approach to engineering equips users with the tools to accelerate innovation and discovery. The awards have been put forward to inspire the vast engineering and scientific community in India to successfully design, develop and deploy novel engineering applications which improve the quality of everyday life. Jayaram Pillai, Managing Director, IndRA (India, Russia and Arabia), NI said, "NI is built on core values which includes dedication to serving our customers and strong commitment to innovation. The graphical system design platform accelerates development of any system that requires measurement and control. Engineers who have used this approach have been truly successful in translating their imagination into reality. We believe recognizing and rewarding them for their vision and efforts will only give impetus to others, especially students, young innovators and budding entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams to create companies and evolve as job creators." The awards have been categorized as Overall Winners, Alliance Partner Category Award, Planet NI Category Award and Humanitarian Category Award. The Overall winner would include the first and second prize winners whereby NI India would recognize the top two applications showcasing the most innovative projects in any field based on hardware or software. The Alliance Partner Category Award would recognize the National Instruments Alliance that has developed an interesting application in any field using NI products. The Planet NI Category Award would recognize the most interesting application in any field using NI products by a Small and Medium Enterprise while the Humanitarian Category Award would identify the submission that has the potential for making the biggest improvement in daily lives. Meanwhile NI India is also celebrating the 25th anniversary of its flagship software, Labview, and its founder, Jeff Kodosky will be in India to personally award the winners at NI Days 2011 in Bangalore on 14 October, 2011.
