U.K. Based Computaris International acquired by R Systems

Bangalore: R Systems, software product development and BPO service company has acquired U.K. based Computaris International operative in U.S., U.K., Romania, Poland, Malaysia and Moldova for $14.5 million. R Systems will make an initial payment of $6.88 million and the balance over two years linked to performance. The acquisition is funded largely from internal accruals. Deal was made to expand R System's operation in Europe. Computaris International provides system integration, telecom technical consultancy, and software development for software vendors and Communication Services Providers (CSP). Founded in 1993 by Satinder Singh Rekhi, R Systems is a software product development and BPO services company. It has five software development centres - 3 in India, 1 each in US and Singapore and 3 delivery centres in India. A lot of IT companies are making outbound acquisitions. Recently, Omnitech InfoSolutions acquired Netherland based Avensus. Last year, Mastek acquired US based SEG Software LLC, Info-Drive Software Ltd acquired Mauritius based Pacific First Sixth, Zensar Technologies acquired US-based PSI Holdings Group and its subsidiaries, Akibia, Aqulla Technology Corp and Akibia B.V (AKIBIA Group) and Aegis acquired Argentia based BPO firm Actionline and Glodyne acquired DecisionOne Corporation.
