HYDERABAD: In order to support its global operations, Zensar Technologies Ltd plans to locate a disaster recovery center at Hyderabad. Announcing this, Zensar’s Chief Executive Officer, Ganesh Natarajan said that the company also planned an innovation technology solutions center. Natarajan said, “We would like the Hyderabad center to serve the financial services business. By the end of 2006, the company expects to locate about 400 people in Hyderabad, of which about 250 would come from its recent acquisition of OBT Global Inc, a specialized SAP solutions provider in Hyderabad.” Out of the four business streams of Zensar — covering offshore development services for companies such as Cisco and Marks & Spencer, enterprise solutions, innovation technology solutions, and knowledge process outsourcing arm, the enterprise solutions has emerged as one of the fastest growing division. Commenting on its recent acquisition of OBT Global, Natarajan said, “Post-merger with OBT, we expect to further grow the enterprise group.” At present the company has the total staff strength of about 700 people that includes 150 in the content management. And Zensar expects to grow to about 1,000 by the end of 2006.
