Zensar revenue up 37 pc

Zensar Technologies has reported revenue of Rs 171.36 crore for the quarter ended 31st March, 2007. The company has also acquired a 37 percent growth over the previous year and has a sequential quarter growth of 16 percent (Rs 148.00 crore). The revenue was Rs 605.86 crore for the year ended 31st March, 2007 and there was 41 percent (Rs 428.79 crore) growth over the previous year. Net profit after tax was Rs 17.21 crore for the quarter ended 31st March, 2007 with a sequential quarter growth of 30 percent (Rs 13.22 crore). “This financial year has been the best ever for Zensar with the Company’s focus on innovation led strategies reaping significant results. Our recent acquisitions and expansion into new territories, have gained us significant traction with excellent new customer acquisition in recently launched service areas,” says Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and MD. “The year has ended well with successful completion of strategic partnerships for Zensar; acquisition of US based Oracle Company Thought Digital and joint-venture with Japan based EZA Global Solutions. We are confident that these ventures will add considerable shareholder value giving us a leadership position in the market,” says S Balasubramaniam, Chief Financial Officer while announcing the results. This year the company has 58 clients and 24 of them engaging Zensar’s news services. The acquisition and successful integration of Thought Digital, with the new entity rechristened Zensar Thought Digital, poised as the Global Oracle Practice of Zensar, with 720 Oracle consultants.
