Mumbai: Now NRIs and Indian TV lovers all over the world can have exciting mix of live Indian TV channels on their iPhone, iPod and iPod Touch. Yupp TV, provider of Live TV and VOD on mobiles, PC and Internet TV, by Global Takeoff Inc, has launched YuppTV app, which provides access to a wide range of live Indian TV channels on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Users can access different language channels like Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, English and Kannada. New channels like Gujarati, Marathi and Tamil channels will be added to the YuppTV portfolio shortly.

This application can be downloaded from iTunes by the global audience. The application can also be shared with phonebook contacts. YuppTV app for iPhone also introduces a next generation mobile marketing tool which allows advertisers to insert customized mobile advertisements in live streams. This allows the flexibility to target focused audience with specific advertisements among the half a million iPhone users globally. Mobile TV has emerged as a strong advertising platform for advertisers globally. Streamed and broadcast mobile TV services are expected to become the most lucrative channels for mobile advertisements by 2010. The global spending on mobile TV advertising is expected to grow from $335 million in 2008 to more than $2.5 billion in 2013.

Commenting on the launch, Udaynandan Reddy, CEO and Founder, Global Takeoff Inc. said, "YuppTV iPhone app is the first application to place overlay advertisements on live streams thereby creating a new and innovative marketing tool. Advertisers can target iPhone users to send relevant and useful advertisements which increase the chances of the advertisements being viewed. We would soon extend this platform to other content providers to reach the expatriate communities across the world."
