Mumbai: Xerox, a document management company, is all geared up to expand in India. In line with the company's improved focus on its services business in the country, Xerox Global Services (XES), a division of Xerox, hopes to double its workforce in India. "We are looking to increase the company's headcount from the existing team of 600 people to nearly 1,200 by 2010," said Ravi Venkatraman, Director, Xerox Global Services. In addition, XGS is also looking at doubling its client acquisitions by the same rate by 2010, along with doubling its revenues during the same period, reported Economic times. XGS, at present has nearly 70 clients in India. Nearly one-third of Xerox's global revenue came from the services business and India's contribution was in line with the same. Venkatraman further said that XGS would also build specialist teams to focus on a variety of verticals in India. The company is looking to cash in on ITeS, education and telecom sectors. Geographically, the company would focus mainly on big metros such as Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai, in addition to tier-II cities such as Hyderabad and Pune. XGS has identified six such cities within India where it would look for client acquisitions.
