Mikhail Prokhorov is ranked the second richest politician in the world by the Forbes. He has a net worth of $13.2 billion. Prokhorov has been the in the leadership, Right Cause Party Congress (2011) and a Candidate for President of Russia (2012). The Russian billionaire is also the owner of the American basketball team, the New Jersey Nets.
Mikhail left Right Cause as the movement collapsed, calling the party a "farce." He accumulated 8 percent of the vote against Vladimir Putin in the race for president.
