World's Best Places to Be Born In 2013


Australia:
Australia takes the second position on the list of the best places to be born in 2013. Australia has a score of 8.12 on the index.

It is noted that 72 percent of the people aged 15 to 64 have a job in Australia and in terms of literacy, 71 percent of adults aged 25-64 have earned the equivalent of a high-school degree. Australia fares well in terms of life expectancy too.  The public trust in government is also noted to be high.

Norway:
Norway takes the third position on the list. It is the second least densely populated country in Europe and scores 8.09 on the index. Norway is one of the biggest financial contributors to the United Nations and is also known to have the fourth-highest per capita income in the world. Norway was also named as the third happiest nation in the world by the UN. In 2011, it ranked the highest on the Democracy Index.
