Russia: With 69,117,271 of military manpower, Russia has one of the strong military forces in the world. At present, the country is equipped with 766,000 active frontline personnel with a reserve force of 2,485,000 personnel. These armed personnel are backed up by 15,500 tanks, the largest tank force in the world.

As such, the annual spending of Russian over its defense forces is estimated to $$76.6 billion. Defense spending is consistently increasing by at least a minimum of one-third year-on-year, leading to overall defense expenditure almost quadrupling over the past six years, said Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin.
This northern Eurasian nation has the largest accumulation of nuclear weapons in the world. It has the second largest fleet of ballistic missile submarines and is the only country apart from the U.S. with a modern strategic bomber force.
