The second Chinese phone maker to make it on to the list, TCL Communication comes in at number 8 with an impressive 10.1 million units being sold in the second quarter of 2013. Also, the company clocked 2.3 percent in global market shares, bettering last year’s number of 2.2 percent.

In 2012, TCL Communication sold 9.3 million mobile units in the second quarter.

#7 Lenovo

2013 Market Sales: 2.5 percent

2012 Market Sales: 1.6 percent

One of China’s largest electronic hardware giants, Lenovo comes in at number 7. With over 10.9 million mobile phones sold in the second quarter this year, Lenovo has also expanded its mobile global market shares with 2.5 percent, up from 1.6 percent during the same quarter in 2012.
