BANGALORE: Wipro Ltd. and U.S. based Wind River Systems, which develops technologies to run software in devices efficiently, said they had formed a strategic alliance.

Damian Artt, vice-president of professional services at Wind River, said in a statement the alliance would increase the potential of both companies in device design outsourcing.

Joint customers of the two firms will have access to a larger team of development engineers trained in Wind River products, the statement said. No financial details were disclosed on the alliance, which deepens a relationship that began in 1998.
