The announcement is another milestone in Project Bhasha - Microsoft local language computing initiative and comes close on the heels of the recent launch of Office Hindi, it said.

Internationally, yesterday Microsoft launched a Local Language Programme, under which it will make free LIPs available for other languages worldwide. India is one of the first countries to launch local language LIP for Windows, it said.
