What Obama's Win Means To India?


Further, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh congratulated the U.S President saying he looked forward to continue working with him. Leaders of India Inc. also welcomed the re-election of Obama, and said that stability would be good for bilateral relations but expressed doubts on overseas outsourcing.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in his message to Obama said "It gives me great pleasure to convey to you my warmest congratulations on your re-election as the president of the U.S.," reported newstrackindia.com. He added "Your mandate gives you a historic opportunity to continue to work for the welfare of the American people as also for global peace and progress at an admittedly difficult juncture, not just for the U.S., but indeed for the world at large."

Singh said "We have not only advanced cooperation across the full spectrum of our bilateral relationship, but also deepened our engagement in the pursuit of global peace, stability and prosperity."
