Vincera Software acquired by Smarte Solutions

TEXAS: Puru Agrawal founded Vincera Software Inc., an Austin, Texas-based provider of User Activity Intelligence solutions, has agreed to be acquired by Bala Vishwanath founded Smarte Solutions Inc., a provider of Piracy Management solutions. The combined company will be known as Vincera. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1999, Vincera provides end-to-end User Activity Management (UAM) solutions that track, analyze and control user activities across web-based, software-based and content-based products. Its investors include Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Origin Partners LP, Access Venture Partners, Starter Fluid LP, Triton Ventures and individual investors.
Puru Agrawal, Vincera's CTO, will now serve as the CTO of the combined company. Agrawal earlier worked with BSG (acquired in 1999 by Complete Business Solutions). Agrawal has a BS in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University.
