Bangalore: Verizon may soon add the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi to its array of smartphones according to some sources, reports BGN. The tip comes on the heels of news that a new Palm Pre device recently obtained Wi-Fi certification.

Interestingly, Verizon has not discarded rumors about bringing Palm smartphones to its lineup. 'We will be carrying the Palm Pre smartphone early next year," the company said last October through its official Twitter feed. On Monday, the latest webOS firmware update 1.3.5 became available for download.

Verizon's upcoming Palm devices are reported to incorporate this latest firmware release.
