Veritas acquires Rangachari's Invio Software

CALIF: Ranga Rangachari co-founded Invio Software Inc., a Los Altos, CA-based supplier of IT process automation technology, has been acquired by Nasdaq-listed Veritas Software for $35 million in cash.
Invios technology allows IT managers to select from a broad range of out-of-the box process templates and customize them to define, manage and automate IT processes for their organization. Invio already supplies components to Veritas' utility computing software.
Ranga Rangachari, Invio's President & CEO, earlier worked at enterprise storage management software firm Legato Systems. Before Legato, Rangachari worked with Sun Microsystems.
