VSNL to buy some DishnetDSL assets for Rs 2.7 bn

MUMBAI: Telecoms giant Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd has signed an agreement to acquire the narrowband and broadband businesses of DishnetDSL's Internet services division for Rs 2.7 billion, the Bombay Stock Exchange said on Friday. The move is aimed at strengthening its presence in the Internet and broadband areas, it said.
