Unitech first quarter profit dips to 3 Bn

New Delhi: Realty major Unitech's profit after tax has gone down to 3.01 billion for the first quarter this fiscal, compared to 3.48 billion in the corresponding period last year, the company announced Wednesday.

In a regulatory statement, Unitech said its total income has decreased from 7.88 billion for the first quarter last year to 7.74 billion in the same period in 2008.

The group posted a consolidated net profit of 4.23 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as compared to 3.66 billion for the same period last year.

Total income increased from 8.99 billion to 10.54 billion for the periods under review.
