New Delhi: Canonical, which provides engineering, online and professional services to Ubuntu partners and customers has announced Ubuntu Developer Day to take place in India on the 27th of January. It can be said as one of the largest event in Bangalore next year that focuses on getting developers productive on this massively growing platform. "India is the fastest-growing region for PCs and notebooks in the world. We have been actively supporting local OEMs and building a team to support the growth of Ubuntu in the country. This event will accelerate those efforts and bring the value of Ubuntu to even more Indian consumers and businesses," said Jon Melamut, VP for Product and Sales, OEM Services, Canonical. The event will be of interest to engineers and developers with a professional interest in using Ubuntu as a developer platform or in developing applications for the Ubuntu user base.
