U.S. suspect 6 year old to have tie up with terrorists
Washington: Alyssa Thomas, Indian origin American girl is under the spotlight of the U.S. Government, and her family recently came to know that she is on the "no fly" list maintained by the U.S. Homeland Security. The U.S. Homeland Security Department has put the six-year-old on the "no fly" list on the grounds of having suspected ties to terrorists, reports ANI.

"We were, like, puzzled. I'm like, well, she's kinda six-years-old and this is not something that should be typical," said Santhosh Thomas.

During a recent trip from Cleveland to Minneapolis, Thomas and his wife were made aware of the listing. The ticket agent at the Continental counter at Hopkins Airport notified the family, FOX News reports.

"They said, well, she's on the list. We're like, okay, what's the story? What do we have to do to get off the list? This isn't exactly the list we want to be on," said Thomas.

The Thomas family was allowed to make their trip but they were told to contact the Homeland Security to clear up the matter. Alyssa received a letter from the government, notifying the six-year-old that nothing will be changed and they won't confirm nor deny any information they have about her or someone else with the same name.

"She's been flying since she was two-months old, so that has not been an issue. In fact, we had traveled to Mexico in February and there were no issues at that time," said Alyssa's dad.

According to the Transportation Security Administration, Alyssa never had any problems before because the Secure Flight Program just began in June for all domestic flights.

The Thomas family can still fly, but the check-in process will likely take much longer. They plan on making another appeal to US Homeland Security.

1: One of my friends was denied US business visa just because he shared his name with some Indian doctor who was held prosecuted long ago for human organ smuggling in India.

US authorities have either gone mad or have been heavily relying on the microsoft's buggy softwares.
I wonder they did not hang Mr. Obama just because this name rhymes with Osama bin Laden.

2: Oh Yeah ! good ! We in india have Central Bureau of Idiots & there in the US they've Federal Bureau of Idiots , the only difference is Indian police & politicians s can be won over ( meaning Purchased). There you have to win over... he he he... these Americans would come up with some flimsy moronic news just to be in news....

5: This is ridiculous. There cannot be any second opinion on this. But similar thing happening in our country too. I am just giving 3 case studies

1. 4 year old boy was charged with rape in Bihar

2. In same Bihar, another 4 year boy has been booked for instigating communal violence 2 years back (when he was just 2 years old)

3. In another state (forget the state name), a 6 year old boy was arrested for participating in a riot. (after seeing the boy, the judge himself set the boy free and condemned the police)

It happens every where

6: Simply paranoid Americans. Well they can't exactly win friends this way and only become the laughing stock. Pakistani Government is taking them for a ride and they do this to a 6 year old Indian?

7: this can be only called ridiculous and disgusting.US authorities are unable to catch terrorists like faisal shehazad and david headely due to lack of intelligence and in the name of catching terrorists they end up harassing asians which includes innocent muslims and hindus from india and pakistan also.i think they should re-analyse and re-formulate their strategies to cope up with the menace of global terrorism.

indians are too complacent about the myth that we have the best brains.. quite disappointing that i found indians losing the edge because of easy earnings among the youth specially due to outsourcing policies by the western countries. no very sad...we can no longer boast of being one of the most intelligent groups of people.

God, don't we Indians understand sarcasm? Jeez, Nisha, stop being sarcastic. You will be misunderstood and crucified on paper (or rather, on a webpage) here in India.. Better stay with the paranoid Americans than with the 'Ingli-Piss' speaking Indians who do not understand a simple, sarcastic comment.
