Tyagi to lead SentitO's project magt. team

ROCKVILLE: Sentito Networks Inc., a voice-over-Internet protocol switching and services firm, has named Rajesh Tyagi as senior vice president of product management and customer engineering and Tony Zacher as vice president of manufacturing. Tyagi joins Sentito after serving as chief strategy officer and vice president at Excieo Systems. Earlier, he was vice president of product management and customer service at Pelago Networks, which shut down last year. Most recently, Zacher was vice president of operations at CopperCom Inc. Previously, he was vice president of worldwide logistics for the Bay Networks division at Nortel Networks Corp. Sentito has also announced raising $28.5 million in combined Series C and D financings. The company raised $19 million in its Series C round that closed late last year and was led by Kodiak Venture Partners. Core Capital Partners, Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds, Technology Venture Partners, Inflection Point Ventures and Telus Ventures also participated. Core Capital led the $9.5 million Series D round, which also included Kodiak Venture Partners, Mid-Atlantic Venture Funds, Technology Venture Partners and Inflection Point Ventures. The Rockville, Md.-based company, which has raised $53.5 million to date, has 80 employees.
