Two Killer Android Innovations That Frighten iPhone

The concept “Google Now” gives out a sci-fi feel. It automatically alerts you when you need to leave for a meeting based on current traffic conditions, or warns you that your flight has been delayed, or reminds you that one of your favorite teams is playing tonight, or has navigation directions ready for you on that restaurant you just searched for — and it does all of this without you even having to configure anything. To achieve this, Google Now tracks the device's location, the entries in the calendar, the content of emails in a Gmail account, search history and preferences -- such as taste in music or which sports teams the user supports, traffic information on the routes the user usually travel, and much more. One of the things that make Google Now so great is that it goes hand-in-hand with Android's other killer feature: notifications.
