1. fwbackups

One of the most simple options available in the market, fwbackups is a cross platform i.e. it can be used as a backup utility for Linux, Windows as well as Mac. This backup utility is capable of performing single backups as well as recurring backups that are scheduled. With fwbackups, you can perform local as well as remote backups in tar, tar.gz, tar.bz or in rsync format for a single file or an entire computer depending on your utility. The reason fwbackups is tagged as simple is because it is easy to install and mostly resides in the distribution repository. One of the most powerful backup solutions, Bacula is tailored for enterprise use. This customization thus makes Bacula a little complex.
