These Indian Netas Are No. 1 Target of Terrorists

Rahul Gandhi: The Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is reportedly the highest-value target in India for terrorists, said security agencies. As per the media report, young Gandhi's life is constantly in danger.

And it was at risk in November 2007, when Jaish-e-Mohammad head Maulana Masood Azhar's younger brother Ibrahim Athar, one of the hijackers of IC 814, revealed a plot to kidnap Gandhi. According to the latest inputs from the IB, the terror outfit JeM is once again planning to target Rahul Gandhi. The IB agency even stated that JeM is also imparting 'training' to terrorists in this connection.

L K Advani: For BJP senior leader L K Advani, greatest threat comes from the terror group SIMI. Many activists belonging to this faction are upset with him for his decision to ban the outfit during his tenure as Home Minister. But as compared to the last poll, the threat perception against him has gone down significantly. Despite this, the outfit would still be looking for a golden chance to strike upon him. As SIMI always portray him as the extreme face of the BJP, they have tried to target him several times.
IB claimed, "Those interrogated have said that training camps and militant cadres were being organized to target some top leaders while they are being evasive about names, they said their targets were leaders associated with the Babri Masjid case and the Gujarat riots. The Samjhauta Express blast connection is also in the realm of possibility," reports The Indian Express.
