Bangalore: Many new food products introduced on the shelves everyday but some of these products were so riddled with failure that it never won the battle of the grocery aisle, let alone your lunch box. Brands fail for many reasons - poor marketing, culture shifts or straight down bad idea but major brands and food giants never learn from other flops! So here is a list of the best worst food that cats wouldn't steal out of your garbage.
Heinz EZ Squirt Ketchup: In October 2000, H.J. Heinz folks took ketchup to heights it's never gone before: green. The artificially-colored concoction sold more than 25 million bottles in the first three years making the folks of Heinz roll out three more funky hues that included purple, blue and a Mystery Color which was either purple, orange or teal! Although the children-friendly concoction was primarily a success, consumers in due course lost interest and the product was discontinued in 2006.
The biggest flaw was probably that kids and their parents were not too fascinated to have green colour glop on their favourite French fries. Either that or the end result of mixing the colours together to get brown must have turned them off.
