SAN JOSE: Terrawiz, a search engine company, today announced the launch of an exclusive search engine for Indian content. "This is one of the most comprehensive search engines for India" says Anurag Dod, founder of Terrawiz and IIT Delhi alumnus, "Many searches are local sensitive and using a regional search engine makes it much easier to find the relevant information." Terrawiz.com is a search engine for India related content on World Wide Web. Terrawiz's crawler automatically identifies and classifies the web content, indexing only India related information and ignoring other content. By having an Indian centric database the relevancy of the results are far better. For example, searching for “president” on Terrawiz will give search result with “president of India” website on top, other generic search engines like yahoo.com gives “white house” website as top result. The engine is equally useful for Indians living abroad for finding Indian information in their local area like searching for "restaurants in London" gives Indian restaurants in London and searching for "restaurants in bay area" gives Indian restaurants in Bay Area, U.S. Terrawiz has one of the largest Indian content index and is updated daily. People can search for most relevant India related results and the latest Indian news. Terrawiz also has a spell check facility.
